woah! back from camp!! camp was SUPER DUPER fun and lighthouse rocks like crazy!!

we bring light when it is dim *tink tink*
we shine forth love hope joy and peace

hahaa..it was hilarious how we could come up with such a crazy cheer..kudos to zhiew li =)
lets see..there's so much to blog about camp but i shant bore everyone with the details..but basically lighthouse rocks and somehow everyone opened up really quickly..to quote gideon..
"All I remember of the team bonding games was thinking that we didn’t need the games; we were already bonded"
it all started with "how many meh mehs jumped over the wall?"the orientation game i played at rj..which got everyone high and xinyu who was the slowest could not get it!!lol..he took the whole day figuring it out..which equates to a whole day of entertainment for us laughing at his sincerely puzzled look...
day 1 sermon got me quite emotional..thank God for van who understood my situation and for praying for me..it felt so secure hugging her and hearing her pray for me as those tears trickled down..dasao..thankew for always being there..
day 2 was crazy..had to act out that skit which well..i dunno..i think we were all too nervous we forgot our lines..plus all the breaking of boxes got us even more gittery..well..it shocked me a bit when the boxes gave way..not sure about joseph and bellejoy..lol..but i thank God that at least the msg got across..and it provided some entertainment larh..
wet games was fun!! i love the scissors paper stone game..lol..the slow motion demonstration with shawn was quite funny..and playing dog and bone with cucumbers and tomatoes with my dear son davin was unforgettable... =) second day left me very drained and i was about to fall sick..but eelyn's vitamin c capsule saved the day..lol..and of course all the vitamin L from so many people..i'm one lucky girl..
day 3 was outreach activity..lighthouse,lightyear and another light grp went to snow city with the new town primary kids!! haha..it was nice seeing those kids that we tutored last week again..the minute we reached snow city..EVERYONE started acting like kids..i'm serious...must have been the temperate..it all started with our dear miah throwing snow down my back..and rubbing them all over my face..then ephraim and bryan joined in the 'fun' so those 3 TALL giants were throwing snow smearing disgusting dirty ice shavings all over my face..but at least i had the little kids on my side..they were all helping me with collect the snow and making them into snow balls..hahaa..after all the cat fight..we finally did the slide thingy..it was well...ouch..ur bum just keeps hitting the ice slope..and it didnt help when we were speeding down and lightning speed cos bryan was heavy and was right in front dragging us down!! which reminds me..i got cheated by ryan and bryan ang..i cant believe my stupidity...which parent would name brothers ryan and bryan rite..wad was i thinking..must have been the -2 degrees temperature..sighhhh...but at least they both felt bad in the end and apologized..
after the finale skit..the team's morale was kinda down....but i'm thankful for the group..no one gave up and we decided to chiong for the nightgames..we sprinted through the stations and actually were the first grp to reach the the last station..BUT i dunno..pastor bee and debbie made us sit down..then slowly seah's grp camp..and miah's grp came..so oh well..we didnt finish first lar..how to fight with people like ephraim and seah? legs so long..sprint abit and u cant see them anymore..but i still think lighthouse did SUPERBLY well..jess..glorianne and zhiewli especially..they were sooooo exhausted but they just kept going...and of course there was franco..our wonderful walking nus guide..who led us through shortcuts...air con places..took lifts..lol..
spent the last night talking to seah about stuff till 530 am..haha..nice girl talk..now there's a circle of trust among seah, junlynn and myself*beams*
day 4 was prize giving and stuff..and guess wad..LIGHTHOUSE WON!! we got 190 points!!!!! oh my!!!! after franco and i did the wonderful chicken dance..we were finally given our prize and everyone in lighthouse became high!!hahha..we did out cheer for the last time in the multi function hall and then trooped down to macs where we continued being high!hehe...
lighthouse is seriously very cool and i'm amazed how we could all clique so wel..with the youngest being 13 and oldest being 24.. really thank God for the group..it's really cool how everyone was so bonded and yeah..i really am grateful for the openness during morning sharing..there was no fear of condemnation and yeah..it was good..i'm just wondering if we could as a group meet up once a month to share and pray for each other..catch up and all..like a lighthouse cell group or something..cos i feel it's a pity if we just 'spilt' like this..wad say u guys?!
i'm missing alot about camp now..and reading gideon's blog makes we wanna laugh and cry..lol..if there's one thing i could change about camp..it would be the duration..4days is too short to get to know everyone in the group at a personal level..
but good things always must come to an end..and yeah..it's gonna be another 5 day hiatus..going to msia on sunday..oh well..wads gonna happen to my common tests..but well..think i should just commit my studies to God..people arnd have been very encouraging towards me regarding my studies so yup..thankew everyone..
before i leave..thankew everyone in lighthouse for making camp so memorable..photos are on the way..and to eelyn abby davin cheryl hannah eeli seah ephraim and many others..if u happen to be reading this..thankew for making camp so fun!!..to miah and van..thankew for the wonderful scare that scared me outta my wits!!grrrrrr.....but i'll still love u all!!hahaha..
